KALYSAN CANYON

South East of the island is the stunning Kalysan Canyon, one of the most beautiful places in Socotra Island. After a 1.5 km trek downhill you will reach the bottom of the canyon and discover the first natural pool. What makes Wadi Kalysan particularly beautiful is the sharp contrast between the white limestone walls and the deep emerald colors of the water. The largest freshwater pool in Socotra, Wadi Kalysan is the perfect place to cliff jump, swim or just lay your towel down and rest in the sun.
The canyon is made of fresh water so in case you have been camping and there was no shower, it is also a great occasion for a refreshing clean up!
