DIKSAM PLATEAU

Diksam Plateau is one of many of Socotra’s surreal landscapes. Known for its ancient Dragon Blood Trees, this plateau is one of the island’s most iconic spots. These unique trees are endemic to the island and named after the red resin they produce, which was historically valued for medicine, dye, and incense. Diksam Plateau is also home to deep canyons, rugged cliffs, and stunning panoramic views. The Dragon Blood Trees are ancient survivors, adapted to Socotra’s harsh environment, and found nowhere else in the world, making the Diksam plateau a must-visit in Socotra.
